Man threatens drivers

Police were busy during the week with a suspect allegedly threatening people and committing criminal mischief. Police received a report of a man in the 2400 block of South Main walking down the middle of the road heading south.

Fire burns 175 cars in salvage lot blaze Monday

A fire burned its way through a salvage car lot northwest of Perryton on Monday evening and eventually jumped the road. According to Perryton Fire Chief Paul Dutcher, the fire took place two miles west of Perryton on FM 1267 at a salvage car lot run by Javier Mena and leased from Ida Medina.
