Durkin to speak March 4

Tim Durkin, CSP, of Dallas will speak in Perryton this Thursday, March 4, at Frank Phillips College Allen Campus as part of the Leadership Perryton XIX series. Registration begins at 6 p.m., and the seminar will start at 6:30 p.m.

PAC baseball/softball deadline extended

Sign-ups for baseball and softball have been extended at the Perryton Activity Center. The new deadline to sign up is Friday, March 5, at 8 p.m. Boys and girls ages 4-15 are encouraged to play. Fees for PAC members are $35; fees for non-PAC members are $65.

FPC sets GED testing dates for March

Frank Phillips College Allen Campus will hold tests for the GED on March 5, 12, and 26. The tests will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can register for the exam at https://ged.com/; the fee for the test is $35. Registration must be completed at least one day before the test is administered.

Parkinson’s support group to meet

The Perryton Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group will meet on Friday, March 12, at noon at New Hope Fellowship, 2821 S. Ash. Lunch will be provided. Jo Bidwell from Southwest Parkinson’s Society in Lubbock, will present the program.

Rifle Club to hold Steel Challenge Match

The Perryton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold its monthly Steel Challenge Match on Sunday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at the indoor range south of the Expo Center. Competitors will be shooting at paper plates at 50 feet — five plate array and two different arrays.

Girl Scouts set Easter egg hunt

The Perryton Service Unit of the Girl Scouts will host its fifth annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 3, at 11 a.m. in the field behind Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus. Children ages 1-12 may bring their own basket or bucket to participate.

Rifle and Pistol Club sets monthly meeting

The Perryton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, March 4, at 7 p.m. at the indoor range south of the Expo Center. The club will be discussing new and ongoing projects. All are welcome — new memberships and renewals will be available.

Pistol Club sets silhouette match

The Perryton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold its monthly Silhouette Indoor Match on Sunday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at the indoor range south of the Expo Center. Competitors will fire at paper silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys, and rams at 50 feet.

Pulled pork fundraiser set for Pathways

A fundraiser for Perryton Pathways scholarship program will be held on Thursday, March 11, from 4-7 p.m. at Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus. A pulled pork meal will be served for $8 per plate, take out or delivery. There will also be a silent auction. Call 648-1450 to place your order.

PAC sets signups for youth soccer

The Perryton Activity Center is accepting registration for the PAC youth soccer spring league. The deadline to sign up is Friday, April 16, at 8 p.m. Fees are $35 for PAC members and $65 for non PAC members. Games will start on May 31.
