Snack Pak 4 Kids set March 22 Snack Pak 4 Kids will meet Monday, March 22, at 7 p.m. at the Williams Cafeteria to pack snack bags. Masks will be required, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 340, Perryton, TX 79070.

School board votes to require masks through March 29

The PISD Board of Trustees met today and voted to continue requiring masks for PISD students until Monday, March 29. A number of factors went into this decision including recommendations from local health officials and to allow time for front line workers to become fully vaccinated.

OGH vaccine clinic set this week as active cases drop

Ochiltree General Hospital will hold a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic this week, hoping that more vaccines will help continue the drop in active cases. The clinic will be held at the Ochiltree County Expo Center on Thursday, March 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Friday, March 12, from 9 a.m.

FBSW DONATES $10,000 to PISD

FirstBank Southwest made a donation of $10,172.15 to Perryton Independent School District recently. The bank donates a portion of each debit card transaction processed to schools, so the more transactions are made on debit cards, the more money the school district receives.

Balko Lions set auction

The Balko Lions Club will hold its 46th annual consignment auction on Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m. just east of the Balko school. Consignments will be taken through Friday, April 29, but the deadline to get on the sale bill is Monday, April 6.
