Council rejects used fire truck bids in light of grant

The Perryton City Council decided on a tax rate for 2025-26, discussed a fire ladder truck and postponed amending a parks and recreation ordinance at its meeting Tuesday evening.Finance director Ellie Blasingame proposed a no new revenue tax rate of 54.5668 cents to the council.

Hospital Board adopts budget

The Ochiltree County Hospital District’s Board of Directors met on Monday evening in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital.Among other items on the agenda, the hospital board held a short public hearing on the 2026 fiscal budget.
