Drought management planning meeting set in Roberts County

The Texas A&M Agri-Life Extension Service will host a “Developing a Drought Management Plan” meeting for producers in the Roberts County area June 17. The free meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at the Roberts County Courthouse Annex, 122 Waters St., Miami.

More rain hits Ochiltree County

Ochiltree County was treated to several days of light rain this week, as well as a nice, big downpour on Sunday night. KEYE Radio’s official rainfall total for the period was 1.22 inches. Dempsey and Kara Malaney, who live 23 miles southeast of town, reported 3.10 inches of precipitation.

Active COVID-19 cases still at zero

For the second week in a row, there are still no active COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County. The first cases of COVID-19 began appearing in the county in late April of last year.

REMEMBERING THE FALLEN

Drizzly weather greeted attendees of the Memorial Day ceremony, hosted by the Harry P. Stumpf American Legion Post 254 at the Ochiltree County Cemetery on Monday morning. Ochiltree County Judge Charles E. Kelly made the annual Memorial Day address.
