Thursday scramble winners named

The winners of the Perryton Golf Club’s Thursdy night scramble on June 3, won with a score of 29. They were Ryan Scarnatti, Ernesto Puga, Terry Stroup, Dan Gilbert and Carl Willmon. It’s Deep A fathom is six feet deep.

Elks to host golf tourney The Perryton Elks Lodge will hold its 16th Annul Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 12, beginning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The tourney is a two player team 9 hole low ball and 9 hole scramble. Cost is $130 per team.

Watermelons behind schedule, but prices and quality are good

Winter Storm Uri and subsequent cool, wet weather have made the 2021 growing season tough on Texas watermelons, but decent prices are helping producers, according to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service experts.

Perryton Independent School District’s Grab & Go Meals program has begun, providing kids from ages 1-18 with nutritious, delicious meals through the month of June. Meals can be picked up at the PISD Administration parking lot from 8-9 a.m. for breakfast and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch.
