CDC offering grants to local businesses

The City of Perryton Community Development Corporation is offering a second round of grants to local businesses in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic and its continued effects on businesses.

Perryton Independent School District’s Grab & Go Meals program has begun, providing kids from ages 1-18 with nutritious, delicious meals through the month of June. Meals can be picked up at the PISD Administration parking lot from 8-9 a.m. for breakfast and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch.

Council grants ordinance appeal, previews budget

In a short noon meeting on Wednesday, the Perryton City Council heard an appeal to the city’s ordinance on registered sex offenders residing in a child safety zone, and also had its first look at the 2021-22 proposed budget. City Manager David Landis made the appeal presentation.

Active COVID- 19 cases back up above zero

After a bit more than a week of no active cases of COVID-19 cases in Ochiltree County, the county’s estimated active cases has now risen to one, according to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
