County’s COVID-19 cases up sharply

Ochiltree County’s COVID-19 cases have risen sharply since last week. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 have risen to 57, up from 46 on Friday afternoon.

Green named Workhorse of the Year

Nikki Green was named the Kiwanis Club Workhorse of the Year for 2021. She received the honor at the club’s annual installation banquet on Tuesday, Sept. 28. The Workhorse award was presented by Chase Allison.

PHS Class of ‘71 holds 50th reunion

The Perryton High School Class of 1971 celebrated its 50 - year reunion in Fort Worth Sept. 17-18. Hosts Ross and Cindy (Byerley) Snell opened their spacious home on Friday night for a meal of made-toorder burgers followed by a gigantic Class of ’71 cookie.
