Angel Tree donations wanted for needy kids Panhandle Crisis Center’s Angel Trees have been set up at United, Lowe’s, Family Dollar, and Walls. To donate, simply remove an angel ornament from the tree. On the back of each ornament, you’ll find the gender, age, and size of a specific child.

The City of Perryton set up their “Giving Tree” again to help local senior citizens who have difficulty paying their winter heating bills. The city’s Giving Tree has become a local tradition for this time of year.

United Way drive reaches 87% of goal

The Ochiltree United Way’s 2022 fund drive continues to make progress, and is now at 87% of its $92,000 goal. The drive has raised $80,123 so far. No new 100% Companies were added.

County’s COVID cases rise again

Active cases of COVID-19 in Ochiltree County are again on the rise. According to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services, Ochiltree County’s estimated active cases of COVID-19 rose to 41, up from 22 on Tuesday afternoon.
