United Way sets 2023 allocations; plans campaign kickoff in October

The Ochiltree United Way board met last week to set the campaign goal and make allocations to member agencies for 2023. The goal for this year’s fund drive is $94,300, which was allocated among nine agencies. That is $2,400 more than in 2022.

Perryton Independent School District is preparing for class registration for all students. There is still time for students to complete online registration. Online registration must be completed before campus check-in. Online registration began on July 27 but will remain open until Monday, Aug. 15.

Two Perryton residents were killed in a vehicle accident in Dallam County on Saturday night. Blas Maldonado-Arreola, 59, and Patricia Ruiz-Carbajal, 58, died in a collision with a semi-truck southwest of Stratford.
