Snack Pak 4 Kids to meet Sept. 12 Snack Pak 4 Kids will meet Monday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Williams Cafeteria to pack snack bags. Parking is available in the back of the school next to the Administration Building. Masks are optional, and hand sanitizer will be provided.

(www.perrytoncs.org) On Aug. 31, 2022, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Wesley Snow, white male. No personal information was available, Last known address was Borger. There is one misdemeanor warrant for Snow for issuance of bad checks.

Lawn mower stolen

A theft topped activity for the week. A lawn mower was reported stolen from 817 S. Amherst. The orange mower, was valued at $300. Also during the week, a dog bite by a family pet, and a lost or stolen license plate were reported.
WILDAND FREEAT 103— The parade marshall at the Wheatheart of the Nation Celebration parade on Aug. 20, was Virginia Koch. Koch was 103 years old on the day of the parade, making her the oldest Ochiltree County Old-Timer at this year’s Wheatheart of the Nation Celebration.

Fall perfect season to spend in yard

Gardening enthusiasts recognize that fall is not a time to rest on their laurels. In fact, fall is a great season to spend time in the yard.

Rain storms yield good moisture

Rain storms on Saturday and Monday brought more moisture to Ochiltree County. KEYE Radio’s official rainfall totals for the period were 1.22 inches on Saturday and a quarter-inch on Monday night, for a total of 1.47 inches over the period.

Rangers to host Canyon on Friday

Fresh off a 48-20 win at Dalhart, the Perryton Rangers will host the Canyon Eagles this Friday night at Ranger Field. Game time is 7 p.m. Canyon is also 1-0 on the young season, trouncing Clovis, NM 42-6. The Eagles led 36-0 at the half.
