RIBBON CUTTING FOR OGH SURGERY CENTER— Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce members, as well as Ochiltree General Hospital staff, and well-wishers from the community gathered for a ribboncutting ceremony to commemorate the official opening of OGH’s new surgery center. The new center includes two surgery rooms and a remodel of the post-anesthesia care unit.
Vandalism investigated

A handful of vandalism incidents were investigated by police the past two weeks.
An inflatable turkey decoration at 700 S. Eton was cut.
A car in the 00 block of North Drake was egged.
A residence at 1400 S. Eton had a back window broken out from a kid throwing rocks.

I sure enjoyed the days off for Thanksgiving, but good goobies it was tough getting up on Monday. Crazy how quickly the lazies can take over. But now it’s time to shift into high gear because Christmas is straight ahead.

United Way drive is at 69% mark

The Ochiltree United Way continues to make headway in its 2023 fund drive, and has now reached 69% of its $94,300 goal.
As of Tuesday, the drive has raised $65,876 so far.
There were also three 100% Companies added to the list, bringing the total to 19.

Otey returns to town for Leadership Perryton seminar scheduled Dec. 6
David Otey
David Otey of Golden, CO will be the next featured speaker in the Leadership Perryton series.
He will be here Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Frank Phillips College Allen Campus. Registration is at 6 p.m., with the seminar to begin at 6:30 p.m.
There is no charge to attend.
