No offense reports were available this week. In county jail activity: There were no felony arrests during the week. One misdemeanor arrest during the week was one person for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

United Way drive stands at 116%

The Ochiltree United Way 2023 fund drive has received more donations over the past two weeks, to bring the campaign contributions to $109,818 so far. That is 116% of the $94,300 goal. No new 100% Companies, meaning every employee contributed to the drive, were added.

Commissioners receive racial profiling report

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning in the Ochiltree County Courthouse. Among other items on the agenda, the commissioners received the annual racial profiling report from Ochiltree County Sheriff Terry Bouchard.

Junior livestock show tops over $400,000 in sales

The Ochiltree County Junior Livestock Show and Sale had another successful weekend. The sale totaled $401,528.50, which included $47,320 in add-on contributions. That was a drop from last year’s sale by more than $43,000. Showing the grand champion steer was Maddie Schickedanz.
