Texas licensing department offers tips to ensure a safe manicure, pedicure

As the weather gets warmer, many Texans will prepare for sandal season with a visit to a nail establishment for a manicure or pedicure. TDLR reminds consumers of steps they can take to ensure a safe and hygienic experience: • Make sure your establishment and service provider are licensed.

PHS STUDENTS EARN CNACERTIFICATIONS

PHS STUDENTS EARN CNACERTIFICATIONS – Eight students from Perryton High School passed a state certification exam to qualify as Texas Certified Nurses Aides. The students had to complete 60 hours of classroom lecture, as well as 40 hours in a clinical facility.

Eight Perryton High School students have passed a state certification exam to qualify as Texas Certified Nurses Aides. The students are Rebecca Cavazo, Ammie Esquivel, Idaly Gallegos, Dennise Gutierrez, Keyara Mandujano, Lainey Orozco, Willow Pete, and Brianna Romero.

Way back when, I agreed to serve as judge of pageants held annually in Fort Stockton and DeLeon. I— and another couple of judges— were to select queens of the Water Festival and the Peach and Melon Festival, respectively.

Senior News

As I was making my notes for this newsletter, one event on the calendar jumped out and smacked me in the face: I have been director at the center for four years. Holy cow has the time flown. Best part is that I love it today more than ever. Thanks for putting up with all of my shenanigans.
