Commissioners approve tax rate

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse.Among other items on the agenda, the commissioners reviewed and discussed the county’s budget and tax rate for Fiscal Year 2024-25.A brief public hearing was held on the budget.

Local residents have been turning out for the Ochiltree County Farmers Market every Saturday for their pick of farm-fresh vegetables, homemade bread and pastries, handmade crafts and quilts, and much more. Pictured are, from left, Rene Schwalk and Penny Clark picking out some new treats to enjoy. The last day of the market will be this Saturday, Sept. 14.
