City’s sales tax payment drops 4% in September

The City of Perryton’s sales tax payment for September showed a slight drop from its payment in September 2023.The city received a payment of $236,813, down a little over 4% from last September.For the year so far, its payments of $2.7 million are down only .35%.

School board hears complaint, okays construction plans

The Perryton ISD Board of Trustees held a special board meeting on Sept. 5.The board opened the meeting and held a hearing regarding a parent complaint from Malissa Thomas about an incident that occurred with her son in the Perryton High School weight room.

Commissioners approve tax rate

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday morning at the Ochiltree County Courthouse.Among other items on the agenda, the commissioners reviewed and discussed the county’s budget and tax rate for Fiscal Year 2024-25.A brief public hearing was held on the budget.
