TEA AND SOPHISTICATION Parents, kids, and grandparents of all ages dropped by the Museum of the Plains on Sunday afternoon to enjoy an old-fashioned afternoon tea party. Some 45 residents picked out fancy hats to wear and enjoyed tea, punch, finger sandwiches, cookies, and plenty of good company, as well as checking out the museum’s new display of vintage dolls. Candidate filing is underway in the May 4 general election.
The period opened on Jan. 17 and will run through Feb. 16.
The Perryton City Council, which has two vacancies due to the resignations of Shae Cunningham and Shirley Howard, will also have a special election to fill those two positions.
