The Perryton City Council adopted an ordinance increasing gas and water meter tap fees, and called for the May general election at its meeting Tuesday.
Public Works Director Brandan Knapp went over the new fees with the council. He said the last time the fees were increased was four years ago. The fees are for material costs only.
