This past week at the center, we had a surprise visitor. Alexia Ortega called Monday morning asking if she could be of service. She is a member of the Perryton High School National Honor Society and needed to fulfill her volunteer hours. Holy cow, was she appreciated. That girl knows how to work.

Hospital Auxiliary installs new officers

The Ochiltree General Hospital Auxiliary met April 5 for their spring luncheon and installation of officers. Carol McGarraugh installed the new officers.

Wolf Creek DAR chapter presents Good Citizens Award

The Wolf Creek Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution met arch 23 at First United Methodist Church. Hostesses were Cavita Kile, Barbara Herz, Anna Lee Barton, Diane Lee and Virginia Scott. The recipient of the DAR Good Citizens Award was announced by Ann Haley.

On Wednesday, nine therapy go teams from Panhandle Area Community Therapies visited Perryton High School. They were invited to cheer up students, who enjoyed the visit. Teams from Perryton, Canadian, Pampa, Borger, Lipscomb and Follett attended the event.

Blasingame chosen as PPW Young Careerist

Megan Blasingame has been named the Young Careerist of the Month by the Panhandle professional Women’s Club. She is married to Dr. Jay Blasingame, and they have two children, Catherine, 2 1/ 2, and Mary Michael, almost six months old.
