Brady and Lana Yeary of Perryton, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Holly Yeary, to Chris Grabski, both of Boulder, CO. The prospective groom is the son of Kim and Reggie Cole of Manitou Springs, CO and Erich Grabski of Cocoa Beach, FL. The couple will be married Aug.

We are so excited to have our precious Mormon sisters back volunteering at the center. Allow me to introduce to you: Sister Weigh and Sister Shakespeare (yep, as in William). If you were here on Wednesday, you enjoyed the beautiful piano playing of Sister Shakespeare.

During the Victorian Age, publications never dared show a bed in any of their advertisements. When illustrations of the bedroom were required, the bed itself was hidden by curtains.

The Pink Palace

Jayne Mansfield decorated her “Pink Palace” by writing to 1,500 furniture and building suppliers and asking for free samples. She told the donors they could then brag that their goods were in her outlandish mansion. The pitch worked, and Jayne received over $150,000 worth of free merchandise.

Night guild members share quilt stories

The night group of the Friendship Quilt Guild met June 8 at Community Worship Center. The program, “Story Quilts,” featured a showing of quilts by members and the story about the quilt. Ethel Rudd shared her first quilt made of plaid flannel fabrics.
