The Alamo 4-H Club met Oct 18 at the Expo Center. The meeting was called to order by president Austin Merrick. Minutes were read by reporter Darlee George and attendance was taken by secretary Kile Merrick. Kile Merrick gave a program on “The History of Oreos.

Ag/Livestock Club meets

The Ochiltree County 4-H Ag/Livestock Club met Oct. 9 at the Expo Center. Rylan Oquin conducted the meeting. The program was given by county agent Scott Strawn. He talked about the importance of shots if your animal is sick, and how to correctly give a shot.

4-H FOOD DRIVE NETS ALMOST 600 ITEMS—Members of Ochiltree County 4-H held a scavenger hunt food drive Oct. 7 as teams of students roamed Perryton collecting food to donate to Jireh Food Ministry. Members collected 597 items to donate to Jireh.

Day quilt guild reveals winners of yearly challenge

The Friendship Quilt Guild day group met Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Community Worship Center. The yearly challenge competition was held. The challenge was to make large quilt, wall quilt or home decor item out of five inch charm squares.
