Chisum named PPW May Young Careerist

Maegan Chisum has been selected as the Panhandle Professional Women’s Club as the Young Careerist for May. She is married to Trevor Chisum, and they have three children, Ashlyn, 13; Kutter, 9; and Tayla, 13. She is loan administrator for Plains Land Bank.

Jennie Junes enjoy luncheon

The Jennie June Club met May 11 at the Senior Citizen Center for a luncheon. Hostesses were Janelle Cochran, Frances Aston and Arlene Boxwell. Following lunch, president Kara Malaney conducted the business meeting, opened by the reading of the collect.

Night quilt group meets

The night group of the Friendship Quilt Guild met May 10 at the Community WorshipCenter . The meeting was opened and presided over by pesident Pam Sanders. Minutes were read by secretary Myrna Biggers, and the treasurer’s report given by Cynthia Shattles.
