Rangers lose close one, 45-42, to West Plains

The Rangers narrowly missed picking up their second district win, losing a 4542 squeaker to West Plains Friday night. It was an offensive battle most of the night, and West Plains capitalized on two Ranger turnovers for scores. Perryton started the game off with a bang.

Rangers to travel to Borger Friday

The Rangers will make the short trip to Borger Friday night, to play their next to last district game. Also on Friday, Seminole and Levelland will face off, and West Plains has an open date.

Rangers to host West Plains Friday

After a week off, the Rangers will return to the football field when they host West Plains. Game time is 7 p.m. The West Plains Wolves are playing their inaugural season for the new Canyon high school. So far, they are 4-4 on the season and 1-1 in district.

Elks edge out Rangers 28-21for win

The Rangers lost another close one Friday night, coming up just short in a 28-21 victory by the Stratford Elks. The loss drops Perryton’s record to 1-5. They open district against Levelland there this Friday. Stratford was up first Friday night, and took eight plays to find the end zone.

Pampa took a close 28-21 win at Ranger Field on Friday night. The Rangers had a hard time stopping the Harvesters in the first half, but came back in the second half to nearly pull off the win. Pampa opened the game with a long scoring drive that began at their own 13 yard line.

Wildcats beat Rangers 56-14 Friday

The Rangers battled a formidable opponent last Friday in Canadian. The Wildcats’ offense and defense were too much, and they took the win 56-14. The Rangers began the game with the ball, but after a fumble, which they recovered, for a loss on third down, they punted.
