Rangers are bi-district champs, to face Graham in area

The Perryton Rangers picked up a big 34-20 bi-district championship win over the Monahans Loboes last Friday night at Ranger Field, and advance to the area round this Friday against the Graham Steers. The playoff game will be played at Peoples Bank Stadium in Wolfforth, just outside of Lubbock.

The Rangers advanced to the area round of the playoffs with a 34-20 win over the Monahans Loboes in an unusual bi-district playoff game at Ranger Field. Their next opponent will be a tough Graham team in Wolfforth this Friday.

Rangerettes suffer second game woes

The Rangerette basketball team traveled to Stratford for a rare Wednesday afternoon game this week. Perryton entered the contest coming off an impressive 51-41 opening season win over the Clarendon Lady Broncos.
STATE BOUND The Ranger cross country team is headed to the state meet after a second place finish, behind number one ranked San Elizario, in the regional meet last week in Lubbock. Perryton, who is ranked second in the state, was just five points shy of winning the event. This will be the first time since 2015 the Rangers will run in the state event, slated for Nov. 23-24 in Round Rock.

The Ranger cross country team, ranked second in the state, is returning to the state cross country meet for the first time since 2015. Perryton ran second as a team at the regional meet last week in Lubbock.

Rangers win bi-district title

The Perryton Rangers notched a decisive victory and claimed the bi-district title with a convincing 34-20 win over the Monahans Loboes Friday night at Ranger Field. The Rangers advance to the area round, and will face the Graham Steers next Friday night. That game will be in Frenship at 7 p.m.

Rette hoopsters open the season with win

The Rangerette basketball team got off to a good start on Saturday at home. They opened the season against a solid Clarendon Lady Bronco team and won easily by the score of 51-41. Perryton scored consistently throughout the game with seven different athletes showing up in the scoring statistics.

Rangers beat Bulldogs 3-0; are district co-champs

The Rangers and the Bulldogs showed that a defensive battle can be exciting, and a Ranger field goal in the final seconds of the fourth quarter gave Perryton the win and a District 1, 4A, DII co-championship with Estacado.
