The winning team in the Perryton Golf Club’s Thursday night scramble on May 6 posted a score of 30. There was a two way shoot out for first place. Team members were Rene Hernandez, Rodrigo Ramos, Bryan Vernor, Justin Manross and Danny Lopez. Manross also hit to 10 feet.

When we left off in the last article, Coach Casey Arruda was discussing the powerlifting dynasty created at Perryton High School. The program is recognized around the state as being top-notch. PHS powerlifting is constantly represented at the state meet year in and year out.

Dynasties are hard to come by. Pro sports, ancient countries and a few businesses have been able to claim that title. Perryton High School has a dynasty of its own. Since its inception, the high school powerlifting program has been a success.
