The Perryton Rangers football team’s season opener was stopped in its tracks by a power outage at Ranger Field Friday evening.
The second half was a few minutes from starting, around 8:30 p.m., when a loud boom trembled the stands and the lights went out, just at Ranger Field. Xcel Energy was called, but couldn’t get the power back on and the game was called about an hour later....
