Rites set for Wilson

Thomas Oliver “Dugan” Wilson, Jr., 89, of Perryton, died Sept. 8, 2022 Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. at Ochiltree Cemetery with Rev. Mark Metzger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

The funeral home will be open for anyone who wishes to sign the book on Thursday, Sept. 15, and Friday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

He was born Dec. 17, 1932 in Balko, OK, and married Minta McAninch on July 16, 1966 in Merkel. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Minta; his parents, Thomas Oliver and Mabel (Williams) Wilson; three brothers, Billy “Beet” Wilson, Bobby Wilson and Jack Wilson; and one sister, Norma Jean Wilson.

He is survived by one son, Douglas Shaw of New Braunfels; and three sisters, Betty Law of Balko, OK, Mary Lou Teel of Blanchard, OK and Lola Belle “Odie” Dear of Perryton.
