Maria Evangelina “Eva” Vigil, 69, of Perryton died July 27, 2021.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 31, at 2:15 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial will follow at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian.
She was born March 5, 1952 in Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Marcos Manuel Vigil on Feb. 14, 1972. They moved to Farnsworth in 1980. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir, was communion minister and assisted with the church’s annual Mexican dinner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcos; her parents, Jose Lujan and Santos Salgado; two sisters, Maria de los Angeles and Maria de Jesus; and two brothers, Federico Lujan and Julian Lujan.
She is survived by one son, Luis Rey Vigil of Canadian; five daughters, Rita Irene Vigil of Perryton, Zeleika Herrera of Booker, Jacqueline Glassey of Bulverde, Laura Hernandez of Duncan, OK and Evangelina Munoz of Evans, CO; two brothers, Arnulfo Lujan of Los Angeles, CA and Aurelio Lujan of Irving; two sisters, Yolanda Lujan of Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico and Eulalia Lujan of Perryton; 19 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
