Sharon Tedder Russell, 69, of Ulysses, KS, died Aug. 23, 2021 at Vibra Hospital of Amarillo.
Services will be Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. at Oasis Church in Ulysses with Pastor Garrett Gretz officiating. Interment will follow in Ulysses Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
She was born June 26, 1952 in Garden City, KS, and grew up in Borger and Perryton. She graduated from Perryton High School in 1970. She married Patrick Russell on Jan. 23, 1971 in Santa Monica, CA. She was active in Mercy, Grace and Truth Ministries, serving in children’s ministry, prayer groups and pastoral support.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin LeRoy Tedder; her mother, Alberta Jean Tedder Vandagriff; her stepfather, C.G. Vandagriff; and one grandson, Patrick Phillips.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick, of the home; five daughters, Jean Franco, Mary Phillips and Emily Russell, all of Ulysses, Aubrey Blankenship of Duncan, OK, and Sarah C. Hinojos of Perrin; three sons, James Russell of Omaha, NE, Joseph Russell of Haysville, KS and Michael Russell of Wichita, KS; one brother, Darel Tedder of Colorado Springs, CO; two stepsisters, Glenda Overton of Perryton and Snoma Vandagriff; one stepbrother, Sandy Vandagriff of Oregon; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
