William E. Massey, 79, of Russellville, AR, formerly of Liberal, KS, died May 30, 2020 in Fort Smith, AR.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 3, at Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
He was born Aug. 4, 1940 in Hugo, OK. He owned and operated Alamo-Massey Plumbing, Heating & Air, based in Liberal, for over 48 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber Homer and Ivy Lorene (Merrick) Massey; and his grandparents, Granny and Pa Fouse.
He is survived by Rheawanda Massey of Dardanelle, AR; two daughters, Cindy King of Broken Arrow, OK and Viva Halford of Russellville; one son, John Massey of Amarillo; three siblings, Jimmy Dale Merrick, Jerry Don Merrick and Mary Carol Merrick; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Humane Society, 3115 S. Mobile Ave., Russellville, AR 72802; or to Akdar Shrine, 2808 Sheridan Road, Tulsa, OK 74129.
