Mark Sanders, 69, of Hobbs, NM, formerly of Perryton, died Jan. 16, 2022.
A graveside service was held Friday, Jan. 21, in Ochiltree Cemetery with Rev. Marlon Sparks officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1953 in Altus OK and his family moved to the Perryton area in 1958. He graduated from Perryton High School and West Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree.
He married Stacy Holland on Aug. 22, 1976 in Perryton. They lived in Perryton until 1922, when he was transferred to Hobbs, NM. He worked as a geologist in the oilfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and June (Uptergrove) Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy, of the home; one son, Chris Sanders, of Hobbs, NM; one daughter, Taryn Adams of Big Spring; one sister, Kathy Ware of Amarillo; and two grandchildren.
