Edward Halpain
Edward Lee Halpain, Sr., 91, of Perryton died Jan. 14, 2023 in Booker.
A private family memorial graveside service at Ochiltree Cemetery will be planned at a later date. Cremation and arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born June 30, 1931 in Perryton and married his wife, Loretta, on Aug. 6, 1950 in Perryton. He was a mechanic for many years until retiring. He was also a school bus driver for 20 years, and volunteered as a Shriner clown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta, on Jan. 6; his parents, Lee and Ida Belle Halpain; and two sisters, Pat Ward and Helen George.
He is survived by one son, Sonny Halpain of Perryton; one daughter, Vickie Kennedy of Buhler, KS; five grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to one’s favorite charity.
