Manuel was born on Feb. 12, 1937 to Juan and Luz (Arryo) Flores in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married Consuelo Munoz on August 29, 1964 in Mexico. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Perryton.

Manuel was known for his excellent work ethic to the point he was working until the end. He was known as the hardest working man, not just by his kids, but by everyone who was around him and worked with him.

He first worked with Tom and Phil Slack for many years to earn money to help bring his family to the states. Then he worked other agricultural jobs because he loved what he did. These jobs included Booker Packing Co. and the Davis Farms.

After several health issues he was not able to work. This just left his little ranch and work around the house. He loved his little ranch where he had cows, calves, chickens and the occasional pig and goat. He also loved working in his garden, planting and growing different vegetables.

When he was unable to do that on a regular basis, he took up word searches. He would sit in his chair and do word searches and say “this is my teacher.” He learned several English words by doing these puzzles. He especially did the word searches while in the hospital. He also used the word searches as his “diary”. He would write what was going on that day on the top of the page.

He is survived by his loving wife, Consuelo, of the home; daughter, Laura Mendoza and husband, Ramiro of Farnsworth; sons, Hector Flores and wife, Michelle, Tavo Flores and wife, Sandy, Ben Flores and wife, Lila, Jesus Manuel Flores Jr. and wife, Brandi all of Perryton, and Fernando Flores of Midland,; brother, Oscar Flores of Favens; two sisters, Enriquta Jaquez and Olga Andrade of both of Chihuahua, Mexico. He had 13 grandkids, Sheana and husband Will, Bo, Selleca, Savoy, Sheadon, Daniella, Kajsa, Samantha, Rylan, Leticia and husband Caleb, Daniella and husband Andrew, Cynthia and husband Rick and Carla. He had eight great grand kids.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Mario Flores, Juan Flores, Reymundo Flores and Ignacio Flores; two sisters, Elva Guerrero and Irma Soto; son, Manuel Cabrera; and grandsons, Sakoda Juarez and Sheldon Flores.
