Kendra Jo Vela, 31, of Perryton, passed away on February 5, 2023.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023 at First Christian Church in Perryton with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Kendra was born March 6, 1991 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Kenneth Owens and Elicia (Antillon) Bucholz. Kendra was a proud Texan, as proud as they come. She enjoyed the beauty of life. Kendra had a generous heart and loving nature, her beautiful smile will forever be missed. She had a fierce love for her family, especially for her nieces and nephews. She loved showing her love through her cooking, which she took great pride in. She also loved her cat, Bae dearly and her new puppy Rosa.
She is survived by her husband, Jayme Vela and children, Donovan, Jaxon and Aaron all of Perryton; father, Kenny Owens of Perryton; mother, Lisha (Jeff) Bucholz of Willow Park; three sisters, Amber (Josh) Jensen of Willow Park, Megan Estrada of Dodge City, KS, and Jessica (Brandon) Valencia of Parker, CO; stepsister, Erica (Adam) Davis of Fort Worth; step-brother, Scott (Noor) Bucholz of San Diego, CA; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Jacqueline, Isabelle, Elicia, Joanna, Jonathan, Isiah, Noella and Alice; grandmother, Irene Jo Antillon; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family requests memorials be in her name to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Perryton, PO Box 1256, Perryton, TX 79070 to help with funeral expenses.
