William Arthur Ellis, Jr. (JR), 65, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in Perryton.
A celebration of life was held Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023 at 4 p.m. at The Perryton Elks Lodge.
JR was born on Dec. 29, 1957 in Perryton, to Carrie Ann Price and William Arthur Ellis. He was active in the community as a member of the Perryton Jaycees, the Shriners and actively participated in the Ochiltree County Jr. Livestock Show. He worked many years for Ochiltree County as an equipment operator, mechanic, and later in life worked various jobs in oil and gas.
JR is survived by one son, Stephen Ellis and wife Erica of Owasso, OK; one daughter, Tamara Ellis of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Terrie Phelps of Beaver, OK; two grandsons, Dakota Buck and wife Payon of Oklahoma City, OK and William Ellis of Owasso, OK; and four granddaughters, Cheyanne Buck and Katlynn Githens, both of Oklahoma City, OK, Audrey Ellis and Julia Ellis, both of Owasso, OK.
JR Ellis was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Ellis.
