James Eldon Allison, 80, of Perryton, Texas was born on November 24, 1944 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Hubert Clarence and Bessie J. (Payne) Allison. James looked upon the face of his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 6, 2025 at the Veteran’s Administration Center, Dallas, Texas.
James attended and graduated from Perryton High School with the class of 1964.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant serving in Vietnam from January 12, 1966 to January 11, 1968 and received an honorable discharge.
James held a long-standing position as parts manager at Ford Motor Company, Perryton, Texas for numerous years and also worked within the oilfield industry. In addition, he was the owner and operator of Hotshot Main Wrecker Service located in Perryton Texas.
James appreciated embarking on family RV trips. He enjoyed educating his children on riding dirt bikes, which developed into a family pastime of riding together. James was a devoted Christian and had a deep personal relationship with God, he was a member of the First Baptist Church, Perryton, Texas. James cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren who brought immense love and joy to his life.
He will be deeply missed and greatly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Elk City, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Buffalo Cemetery, Sayre, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory are two daughters, Rebecca Vernon and her husband, Billy of Forney, Texas, Brandy Wood of Mc-Kinney, Texas; one son, James Eldon Allison Jr. of The Colony, Texas; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Mitchell of Sanger, Texas, Emily Wood of Dallas, Texas, Sam Wood of Mc-Kinney, Texas, Brennan Vernon of Forney, Texas; one brother, Charlie Allison and his wife, Merry of Longview, Texas; numerous nephews, nieces; and other relatives and friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Clarence and Bessie J. Allison; two brothers, Robert Allison, Max Allison; and one halfsister, Dora Jean.
