Maria Mendoza de Hernandez, 68, of Perryton died Aug. 15, 2020.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Iglecia Pentecostal Unida in Perryton with Rev. David Hernandez officiating. Burial was in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
She was born May 30, 1952 in Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico, and married Gustavo Hernandez May 19, 1972 in Perryton. She was a homemaker, and she and her husband pastored 35 years in Perryton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Francisca Trejo Mendoza.
She is survived by her husband, Gustavo, of the home; eight children, Gus Hernandez, Alberto Hernandez, Mary Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez, David Hernandez, Mac Hernandez, Francis Zavala and Paulita Hernandez, all of Perryton; three brothers, Alejandro Mendoza, Beto Mendoza and Martin Mendoza, all of Mexico; two sisters, Maria Macias of Spearman and Tota Cano of Mexico; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials to Vision Warshaw Mission Fund, in care of Paulita Hernandez, 2214 S. Indiana, or one’s favorite charity.
