H.D.Ridgeway

Harold Duane Ridgeway, 60, of Sadler, passed away Sunday, Oct.3, 2021, in Washington DC, with family at his side.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, with Brent Nichols officiating in The 1906 Venue, 204 E. Main, Whitesboro.

Harold (H.D.) was born May 20, 1961, in Pryor, OK to Jimmy Joe and Oleta Ridgeway. He married Teresa Rodawalt in March 2015.

H.D. grew up in Perryton, attended Perryton schools, and graduated from Green-way High School in Phoenix, AZ.

H.D. had a love for horses, team roping, telling jokes, and making people laugh. H.D. always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He enjoyed working cattle with his friends and did not care how far he had to travel, if the opportunity was there, he would be too. One of H.D.’s favorite things was to take moonlight horseback rides down on the river with his friends.

H.D. was a lifetime member of the AQHA, but his greatest accomplishment was when he became a 32 nd Degree Mason and a member of the Whitewright Masonic Lodge #167.

H.D. is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Joe Ridgeway.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa; sons, Cade Ridgeway, John Ridgeway and Reed Reyes; parents Roger and Oleta Bocox; brothers, James Ridgeway and Roger Bocox; stepbrother, Bobby Bocox; stepsister, Lynda Smith; stepsons, Stewart (Liz) Dodson and Mark (Mica) Dodson; six grandchildren, Parker Ridgeway, Wyatt, Sage, Ryder, Bennett and Madelynn Dodson.
