Dixie Darlene Hargues, 82, of Perryton, died Oct. 9, 2021.
A private family graveside service at Ochiltree Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
She was born May 28, 1939 in Shattuck, OK, and married Leroy Hargues July 13, 1957 in Clayton, NM. He died in 1996.
They owned and operated Leroy’s American Gas Station, and later Hargues Corner. She was an Ochiltree General Hospital Hospice volunteer, as well as at the Museum of the Plains. She was an ordained minister and member of Light of Christ Community Church.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Ricky; her parents, Lonnie and Florence (Thiessen) McGarraugh; one grandson, Brian; one sister, Trula; and one brother, Warren.
She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Darlene Cox of Perryton; one son, Danny Paul Hargues of Perryton; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to OGH Hospice Volunteers, 2309 S. Cedar, Perryton; the Museum of the Plains, 1200 N. Main, Perryton; or one’s favorite charity.
