Cheryl Elizabeth Rock passed away on December 1, 2024 in Amarillo, surrounded by family.

Services were held at 1p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Word of Life Church in Perryton, Texas, officiated by Rev. Jeff Hinshaw. Burial followed in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton.

Cheryl was born on December 31, 1952 in Tribune, Kansas to Roberta Green Stover and William Luther Brogden. She spent most of her childhood playing with her brothers and sister on her grandparents’ farm. She had her first daughter, Sheri, in 1968. She went on to have a son, Robert, in 1970 and another daughter, Brandy, in 1979. She loved being a mom and took pride and joy in her kids. While raising them she worked many jobs and moved to various towns eventually ending up in Perryton.

In 1997 she married Ronnie Rock, to whom she is still currently married to. They spent many years hosting cookouts, dancing in their living room, singing karaoke, and spending their free time with family and friends.

Her heart grew in joy when she became a grammy. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with her whole heart and believed that they did no wrong in her eyes. She took great joy in hosting family gatherings. Cheryl was happiest when she could have all of her family under one roof playing games and eating her cooking.

She could often be found doing one of her favorite things: watching a Hallmark movie regardless of the time of year, in her kitchen baking or out shopping. Many will remember her for her quickwitted sass, constant stubbornness, and her generous heart for everyone she met. She left a little bit of sparkle everywhere she went and that will continue to leave an everlasting effect on those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty Green and Robert Green; parents, Roberta Stover and William Brog-den; her mother and father-in-law, Lyvone and T.D. George; brothers, Ray and Charlie Owens; and grandson, Isaac Stone.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Rock; daughter Sheri Stone and husband Dale Stone; daughter Brandy Claudio and husband Michael Claudio; son Robert Krayca and wife Tammie Krayca; stepdaughter Melissa Hargrove and husband Kirk Hargrove; stepson Kevin Bell and wife Yvette Bell; sister Irena Cruz and husband Kurtis Cruz; sister-inlaw Brenda Owens; sisterin- law Karla Dunham and husband Billy Dunham; nephews Zack Owens and wife Bethany Owens and Charlie Owens and Michael Owens; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
