Cathie DeAnn Merkey, 64 of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Rollins Funeral Home. A private family graveside and interment service will be held at a later date
Born in Borger on Sept. 10, 1956, she is the daughter of the late Claude and Freida Rodawalt. After Claude passed away in June 1967, Freida married Don Lane, who helped raise Cathie and gave her away in marriage to her husband, Randy.
Cathie worked for Walmart for nearly 29 years. She enjoyed camping, going for walks and visiting the beach and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Cathie’s memory include: her husband of nearly 45 years, Randy Merkey; children Emily Israel (Jeff) and Eric Merkey (Erika); grandchildren, William, Emma, Penelope, and Charlotte; and siblings, Debbie Jones (Bruce), Lisa Condra-Haines (Steve), Teresa Ridgeway (Harold), JerryDon Lane (Traci), and Joe Lane (Kristen). .
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cathie’s name to a cancer research of your choice.
