Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Hurter Glover, age 90, passed away on November 27, 2022.
Betty was born October 25, 1932 in Beaver, OK to Carl and Maude Hurter. She graduated from Perryton High School in 1949 and married Gene Brothers in 1950. Together they had three children, Gayle, Linda, and Greg.
In 1968, Betty married Robbye Glover in Dumas, and moved to Lubbock, where they worked and spent their vacations traveling all over the country with their dog, Murphy.
While vacationing they fell in love with New Mexico, where they started their life-long interest in collecting Native American pottery. On retirement, they moved to Cedar Crest, New Mexico, just outside Albuquerque.
Betty loved the mountain community, especially all the wildlife that visited her yard, including birds, squirrels, raccoons, and the occasional bear. They moved to Rio Rancho, NM in 2012. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting the bookstores in Albuquerque with her daughter, Gayle.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and son, Greg.
She is survived by her husband, Rob; daughters, Gayle McCarty and her husband, John, of Albuquerque, NM; and Linda Prieto and her husband, Leigh, of Austin; her brother, Carl (Jack) Hurter and his wife, Dorothy of Canadian; three grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
