Spearman man drowns at lake

A man from Spearman drowned Friday evening at Lake Fryer in Wolf Creek Park.Around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, Texas Game Wardens in Ochiltree County responded to a possible water fatality on Lake Fryer.

Area businesses set July 4 closings

Area businesses, government offices, and organizations have announced their closings for Independence Day this year.The Fourth of July is a federal holiday, so federal facilities such as the Perryton Post Office will be closed.

OGH board approves purchase of IV pumps

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital.Among other items on the agenda, the hospital board approved the purchase of additional IV pumps for OGH.

Area receives another dose of rain this week

Perryton and Ochiltree County were treated to some more rain this week, courtesy of a short but intense rainstorm on Tuesday morning, along with a small thunderstorm early Wednesday morning.Dr. Emily White, who lives near Ochiltree General Hospital, received 2.50 inches of rain.
