Holland to speak here ThursdayJody Holland of Amarillo will conclude the Leadership Perryton speaker series for the year this Thursday, April 9, at Frank Phillips College Allen Campus. Registration begins at 6 p.m. and the seminar starts at 6:30 p.m.

On April 8, 2026, the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Department had outstanding warrants on the following people: Blanca Flores, no personal information was available. Last known address was Canadian. There is one misdemeanor warrant for Flores for issuance of bad checks.

SENIOR CENTER MAKES DONATION— Booker Lions Club president Donna Sheppard, at left, accepted a check for $707 from Daryla Allred, the director of the Ochiltree County Senior Citizens Association, for the Fire Relief Fund benefitting the employees of Preferred Beef Group. Allred made the presentation recently at the weekly Booker Lions Club meeting. The donation was collected from members of OCSCA.

GOOD NAMED FELLOW AT TEXAS BAR— Perryton attorney F. Keith Good was recently named a 20-year fellow of the Texas Bar College, an honorary society of lawyers and paralegals who are leaders in the Texas legal community and champions of legal education. He credited the assistance of his longtime paralegal, Ellen Orr, after the honor was announced. Pictured are, from left, Orr and Good.

The day off last Friday was a much needed break after the busy week we had. Who planned that?? Bake Sale, Bierox Sale, Board Meeting? Someone needs some organizational skills, or a knot on the head. All of our great volunteers would totally agree to help out with that last part.
