House bill proposes new standardized test A Texas House bill would eliminate the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness test and replace it with a test comparing students’ performance to one another rather than state-set standards, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

General election is this Saturday

The general election to decide positions on the Perryton School Board is this Saturday, May 3.On election day, Saturday, May 3, voting will be from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at City Hall.Early voting ended on April 29. There were 255 people casting ballots during the early voting period.

Commissioners approve cemetery rules revision
