A cattle trailer driven by Jerry Richard of Scott City, Kansas overturned on Saturday morning at approximately 11:25 a.m. after failing to negotiate a curve. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred about 17 miles SE of Perryton on Highway 83. The driver was uninjured; about 25 head of cattle were killed.
