Jennie Junes have program on MK Creative business

The Jennie June Club met on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Perry Memorial Library.Morgyn Vela and Kynleigh Vela gave the program on their business, MK Creative. Both graduated from OSU. Morgyn has a degree in strategic communications and Kynleigh has a degree in biology, as well as an MBA.

Bird flu cases reported in area

The entire area has seen an increased number of avian influenza, or bird flu, cases, according to Perryton veterinarian Dr. Randy Skaggs, who is cautioning the public about handling birds.“There have been many cases seen in birds here in Perryton,” Dr. Skaggs said.

Chamber of Commerce sets annual banquet this month

The Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce will host its annual banquet and silent auction on Thursday, Feb. 19, at Brokenhorn Steakhouse at 520 SE 24th.The doors will open at 5 p.m. for patrons to bid on numerous silent auction items. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m.
