Kevin Tutt of Abilene was the latest speaker in the Leadership Perryton series. He spoke on “World Class Hospitality” at Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus last Thursday evening. The seminar was sponsored by Alpar Energy and Harvey’s Electric.

Fifth-grade students at Williams Intermediate were recognized in a poster contest to commemorate the2026 Texas Conservation Awards Program with the theme “Soil. Where It All Begins.

Early voting in March 3 primary starts on Feb. 17

Early voting in the March 3 primary election will begin next week.Voters can cast ballots beginning Tuesday, Feb. 17, and running through Feb. 27.The early voting schedule is Feb. 17-20 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 21, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 22, 12 noon-6 p.m.; and Feb. 23-27 from 7 a.m.

Candidates have until Friday to file for local elections

Candidates have until this Friday to file for one of the offices up for election on the Perryton City Council, the Perryton ISD Board of Trustees and the Ochiltree County Hospital District.Filing opened on Jan. 14, and will run through this Friday, Feb. 13, at 5 p.m.

Parkinson’s Disease support group to meet The Perryton Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group will meet Friday, Feb. 13, at noon at New Hope Fellowship Church, 2821 S. Ash. A lunch will be provided.
