Smokable hemp ban temporarily blocked

A ban on the sale of natural smokeable hemp products has been blocked, possibly until the end of April, by a Travis County district judge. A court hearing is set for this week.

Voters will go to the polls this Saturday, to vote for positions on the Perryton City Council.At the end of the early voting period April 28, 112 people had cast early ballots.There are three candidates in the race, seeking two positions up for election on the council.

Hospital discusses new ambulances

The Ochiltree County Hospital District Board of Directors met on Monday evening in the conference center at Ochiltree General Hospital.Among other items on the agenda, the hospital board discussed the new ambulance chassis ordered by the district.

Judge orders Camp Mystic to preserve cabins where girls died in last year’s flood

An Austin state district judge ordered Camp Mystic’s owners not to alter, repair or demolish cabins that housed campers and counselors who died in last year’s July 4 flood along the Guadalupe River, southwest of Kerrville. The flood killed 25 girls, two counselors and one of the owners of the camp.
