GRANT PRESENTATION FOR DOWNTOWN PERRYTON The City of Perryton received a $2.7 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. The presentation was made Friday in down town Perryton by Jorge Ayala, regional director of the U.S. EDA from Austin. Pictured with him is Mayor Kerry Symons.
Local county residents are turning out for the Ochiltree County Farmers Market every Saturday for their pick of farm-fresh vegetables, homemade bread and pastries, and handmade crafts and quilts. The Farmers Market will be open in the Perryton National Bank parking lot from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through mid-September.

RIBBON-CUTTING HELD AT EL TROPICO— Members of the Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce, along with friends, family, staff, and well-wishers were on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for El Tropico at 10 SW 4th in Perryton. The ice cream shop is owned by Rafael Estrada And Gerardo Delgado.
