The State of Texas began work on removing and replacing the Wolf Creek tributary bridge on County Road U on Wednesday, and will continue several weeks.
Because of the demolition, drivers who access Wolf Creek Park from CR U will need to follow a marked detour from US 83 to FM 2711 to CR 24.
The bridge is expected to be back in service by the end of July.
