The Texas Panhandle Quilters Guild delivered homemade quilts to Perryton families affected by the tornado that struck the city on June 15. The original goal for the project was to make and deliver 25 quilts, but that number grew to 48 as more members of the guild wanted to participate. Pictured are some of the Amarillo area members who delivered quilts in early October, including, from left, Lucille Dudley, Pat Drake, Kathy Jones, Susan Kraft, Nancy Owen, and guild president Sherrie Elliott.
